Here's a set of executable methods for you to help compress the cycle down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1) Make the need clear once (avoid double checking)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is recommended that this be provided as a one-off at the enquiry\/proofing stage:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3D + 2D drawings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Critical dimensions and tolerances (CTQ)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operating environment: temperature, medium, outdoor or not<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performance objectives: sealing\/resilience\/abrasion resistance\/flame retardancy (as required)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appearance requirements: color, permissible range of parting line, height of burrs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projected usage and target delivery time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2\uff09Do DFM (manufacturability review) before molding.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>DFM can detect it in advance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Insufficient slanting of the extracted mold<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thin edges\/sharp corners\/deep cavities lead to risk of glue shortage and tearing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parting line location affects appearance or sealing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under or over compression of grooves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3) Proofing should be done \"with acceptance criteria\".<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Proof acceptance recommendations are included at a minimum:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Measurement of critical dimensions (specify gauges and methods)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assembly verification (assembly force, scratching, positioning)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Functional verification (waterproofing\/airtightness\/resilience, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appearance confirmation (burrs, parting production\"<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The value of small pilot production:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Verify yield and appearance consistency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locked process parameters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify hidden problems with assembly beats<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5) Putting change management in place<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Any changes may reset the cycle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Change of dimensions, tolerances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change of material\/hardness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change of color or surface
